Grievance Redressal and Contact
1. Grievance Officer
We have appointed a Grievance Officer as required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 and, where they apply, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020. The same officer handles complaints about personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
| Name | [Grievance Officer name] |
|---|---|
| Designation | Grievance Officer, ClipMissions |
| [grievance email] | |
| Post | [Registered legal name], [Registered address] |
ClipMissions is operated by [Registered legal name], registration number [CIN / registration number], GSTIN [GSTIN].
2. What you can raise
You can contact the Grievance Officer about anything relating to ClipMissions, including:
- content on or through ClipMissions that you believe breaks the law or our Content and Disclosure Guidelines;
- content that infringes your copyright or trade mark, under our Copyright and Trademark Policy;
- how we handle your personal data, or a request to use your data rights under our Privacy Notice;
- a rejected Submission, a held or recovered payout, or a suspension, including appeals under our Fair Play and Anti-Fraud Policy;
- billing, cancellations and refunds under our Refund and Cancellation Policy;
- misleading advertising in a Clip, including a missing disclosure;
- impersonation, harassment or fraud by another user; and
- any other concern about our service or conduct.
3. How to complain
- By email to [grievance email]. This is the fastest route.
- By post to the address in section 1. Postal complaints take longer to reach us, so our timelines run from the day we receive the letter.
- In your account, once accounts are available, through the help or report options.
You can write in English or Hindi. Complaining is free. You do not need a lawyer.
4. What to include
- your name and how we can contact you;
- whether you are a Brand, a Clipper, a visitor or someone affected by a Clip;
- what happened, when, and what you would like us to do;
- links to the content, post, Mission or page concerned, and time-stamps for videos;
- any reference numbers, such as a Mission Order or Submission reference; and
- copies of any documents or screenshots that support your complaint.
If your complaint is about content that concerns you personally, such as an image of you, please say so. We may need to confirm your identity before sharing personal data or acting on a request about an account.
5. Our timelines
We apply the strictest timeline from the laws that apply to us, so the same fast timelines apply to every complaint.
| Type of complaint | Acknowledgement | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Any complaint, including content, privacy, consumer, payout and account complaints | Within 24 hours of receipt, with a complaint reference | Within 7 days of receipt |
| Content showing you nude, partly nude or in a sexual act, or impersonating you, including artificially morphed images | Immediately | We remove or disable access to the content on ClipMissions within 2 hours of receiving your complaint |
| Orders from a court or directions from an authorised government agency | On receipt | Within the time the IT Rules require, currently 3 hours for removal of unlawful content |
For context: the IT Rules required complaints to be resolved within 15 days until the Government shortened this to 7 days in its February 2026 amendment. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 require acknowledgement within 48 hours and redress within one month. The DPDP Rules allow longer for data complaints. Our timelines are faster than or equal to all of these.
We will give you a written, reasoned decision. If we cannot do everything you asked, we will explain why and tell you about your options.
6. Urgent complaints about intimate images or impersonation
If content on or through ClipMissions shows you nude, partly nude or in a sexual act, or impersonates you, including through an artificially morphed or AI-generated image or video, write to [grievance email] with "URGENT" in the subject line. You can complain yourself, or someone can complain for you.
- We will remove or disable access to the content on ClipMissions within 2 hours of receiving the complaint, as the IT Rules require.
- If the content is on a Clipper's Instagram, YouTube or X account, we will require the Clipper to remove it, suspend the Clipper while we investigate, and help you report it to the platform, which can remove it directly.
- You can also report it on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, or call the cyber crime helpline 1930.
7. If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with our Grievance Officer's decision, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a senior member of our team who was not involved, by replying to our decision. We will reply within 7 days. You do not have to use this internal review before using the routes below.
- Grievance Appellate Committee. For complaints under the IT Rules, such as complaints about content or about our decisions on your account or content, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India within 30 days of receiving our Grievance Officer's decision, through its online portal at gac.gov.in.
- Data Protection Board of India. For complaints about personal data, see section 8.
- Consumer authorities. For consumer complaints, see section 9.
- Arbitration and courts. Contract disputes can be resolved as set out in the Terms of Use.
8. Data protection complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a complaint about your personal data, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, in the manner the Board prescribes, once the relevant provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 are in force. The Act expects you to use our grievance process first. See our Privacy Notice for more.
9. Consumer complaints
If you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, you can also seek help from the National Consumer Helpline, by calling 1915 or 1800-11-4000 or through consumerhelpline.gov.in, and you can file a complaint before the consumer commissions, which accept complaints online. Nothing in our terms takes away these rights.
